TNG Episode Types:Trek Arc – Story arc or recurring character arc that transcends TNG into recurring characters or stories in other Trek.Series Arc – Story arc and recurring characters that repeat throughout TNG and possibly spin off as one time cameos in other Trek. Mini Arc – Story arc and recurring characters that have only a few episodes in TNG and don’t spin off into other Trek.POTW – Planet Of The Week / Problem Of The Week are singular episodes that investigate random planet or solve a problem.
TNG Rating System:Resistance is Futile: Widely regarded by Trek fans as the best of the series. YOU WILL BE ASSIMILLATED!Make it So: Interesting story, good character development, or important story arcs that are needed for later episodes of Trek. ENGAGE!Neutral Zone: Watchable if you like the characters featured or if it’s an arc episode and you want to maintain continuity. PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Rainbow Sweater: Just like that famous attire. It’s tacky, ill-conceived, and barely tolerable. SHUT UP WESLEY!Core Breach: Quite possibly some of the worst Trek you have ever seen. Don’t show to new viewers they will want to EJECT THE CORE!!
